Space #
U+0020 SPACE
The ordinary space.
Usage:
- Word divider
- Sentence spacing
Thin space #
U+2009 THIN SPACE
Narrower than the ordinary space.
No-break space #
U+00A0 NO-BREAK SPACE
Has the same width as the space but prevents a line break at its position.
Narrow no-break space #
U+202F NARROW NO-BREAK SPACE
Has the same width as the thin space but prevents a line break at its position.
Usage:
- Thousands separator
Figure space #
U+2007 FIGURE SPACE
Has the same width as a digit. It is therefore well suited for tables, where the digits in different rows line up exactly underneath one another.
